Boys & Girls Club Partners with Local Companies to Enhance Club Facilities

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Anaheim-Cypress is thrilled to announce an exciting collaboration with Goodman North America, Oltmans Construction Co., and W. Brothers Landscape aimed at creating new Club spaces that enhance their healthy lifestyles programs.

The three local companies revitalized and transformed the Cypress-based Clubhouse’s kitchen and community garden. These projects were designed to offer local Club youth valuable opportunities to learn about nutrition, sustainability, teamwork and collaboration.

"We are delighted to partner with Goodman, Oltmans, and W. Brothers Landscape, which have been instrumental in enhancing the spaces where our Club members thrive," said Erika Gary, Chief Operations Officer of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Anaheim-Cypress. "This initiative demonstrates their enduring commitment to investing in our local youth, Club Families, communities, and we are inspired by their collaboration and shared vision to drive lasting, positive change at the local level."

Charlie Roy, President of Oltmans Construction Co. expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership. "We are excited to be a part of a multi-year charity partnership with Goodman to revitalize Boys & Girls Club locations throughout Southern California. At its core, the effort aims to focus on the local communities where our staff work and live. Knowing that our builder expertise has allowed Cypress to expand their educational services and programming is especially rewarding."

Chris Gray, Senior Project Manager at Oltmans Construction Co., highlighted the meaningful improvements to the Club's kitchen facilities. "After meeting with the Boys & Girls Club staff, it was clear to us the value a remodeled kitchen would bring to the children and families served. Growing up attending the local Boys & Girls Club myself, I can appreciate how many hundreds of children and families benefit from the services offered by the organization. With the Club’s input, Joe, Oltmans Superintendent, helped identify specific needs that would bring meaningful improvements to the kitchen’s layout. That included adding rolling carts to transport catered food, easily accessible outlet locations for warmers, and a more modular space to facilitate classes and programs to promote healthy living."

Kyle Warkenton, Co-Founder and Vice President of W. Brothers Landscape, shared his pride in contributing to the Club's development. "We are delighted and proud to have provided the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Anaheim-Cypress with a fruit and vegetable garden that will empower young minds to learn about healthy eating and environmental stewardship. Personally, I got to be a part of a similar summer project when I was a kid. It sparked my initial interest in horticulture and was the first example in my lifetime of ‘the fruits of our labor’ coming to materialization. We look forward to seeing the lasting impact the garden and other new renovations at the Club will have on the children in our community."

The organization along with representatives from all three companies will celebrate the grand opening of these facilities with a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Cypress based Clubhouse on Thursday Aug. 1 at 10:00am. This collaboration with Goodman North America, Oltmans Construction Co. and W. Brothers Landscape exemplifies a shared dedication to fostering positive change and enriching the lives of local youth and their families in the city of Cypress.
